RevaComm opened its doors as a small design firm in 1990, servicing the Hawaii market. Four years later, the company made a strategic decision to become web focused and began developing skills, services and tools that leveraged technology to help customers compete in the digital and web marketplace. This decision was based upon the assumption that the web, although still very early in its development, was going to revolutionize the world.
From 1995 to 2001, RevaComm grew at an average rate of 20 percent per year with the rising tide of the web and the dot com bubble. The company expanded its staff and services to provide strategic IT and web design solutions for clients in Hawaii and the Asia/Pacific Region.
In 2002, after the dot com bubble bust, RevaComm experienced a downturn that negatively impacted its operations. Although the company had weathered smaller economic cycles before, this was the first major challenge in its 12-year history. With the help and support of amazing clients, devoted staff, understanding vendors, caring business advisors and mentors, close friends, family and wisdom from one book, the company endured a restructuring and rebuilding phase and as a result, emerged smarter, stronger and more flexible than ever.
The knowledge and experience gained from such a challenge was invaluable. It granted RevaComm the opportunity to assess its fundamental strengths and weaknesses, and refine its business operations. The company established its core values and continues to conduct all business functions, executions, planning and decision-making around these values.
RevaComm has been blessed over its 20 year history. We intend to be a blessing to our clients, staff and the greater Hawaii community for at least another 20 years.
