Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst

As a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst, you will join our growing Finance team and be responsible for overseeing the preparation of accounting workpapers, analyses, and reconciliations to support the issuance of financial statements and management reports. You will also ensure our financial planning is healthy and profitable and aligns with business objectives. The Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst should be self-driven, adaptable, exhibit critical thinking skills, passionate, and client service focused.

We serve the Department of Defense, financial institutions, healthcare, state, local and federal government, and other industries along with their customers.

If You Join Us, You Will:

  • Oversee monthly general ledger closings and responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger
  • Maintain the integrity of the accounting systems, financial reports and accounting records
  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
  • Perform financial analysis and reconciliation of accounts
  • Partner with operations to manage the monthly forecasts
  • Prepare cost projections
  • Analyze and report on current financial status
  • Conduct thorough research of historical financial data
  • Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement
  • Contribute to the development of annual operating budgets and performance projections
  • Review accounting transactions for data accuracy
  • Establish financial policies
  • Prepare journal entries, financial reports, schedules and analyses for reporting requirements set forth by management
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, assisting with taxes and audit
  • Be responsible for functions related to cash management
  • Be responsible for maintaining prudent financial and accounting policies, procedures and practices, including strong internal controls to safeguard the assets of the organization
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in field accounting/finance experience, ideally in a technology company
  • BS/MS in Accounting, Finance, a similar field of study, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in audit
  • US Citizen (must be able to pass a background check)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in public accounting and tax a plus
  • CPA certification is a plus

Salary Range: Negotiable, Based on Experience
